Exciting news for the fans of Dr. Stone Season 4, the finale! The creators have announced that the final season, titled Dr. Stone: Science Future, will be released in 2025. Instead of airing all at once, the season will be split into three parts, each airing over a quarter of the year. To celebrate the anime’s fifth anniversary, there will also be a special art exhibit starting in Tokyo this November, which will then travel to other cities like Fukuoka and Osaka.
If you’re outside Japan, don’t worry—Crunchyroll will be streaming the new season in North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS countries.
The third season of the series called Dr. Stone: New World, premiered in April 2023 and aired its first 11 episodes. It was streamed on Crunchyroll with the original Japanese audio and an English dub. The second part of this season came out in October 2023, with a special premiere at New York Comic Con, and wrapped up in December 2023 after 22 episodes.
The journey of Dr. Stone started back in July 2019 with the first season, which aired on Crunchyroll and Toonami, with an English dub from Funimation. The second season, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, aired in January 2021, was also streamed worldwide by Crunchyroll and dubbed by Funimation. Fans were also treated to a one-hour special, Dr. Stone: Ryusui, in July 2022.
The anime is based on the popular manga created by Boichi (known for Sun-Ken Rock) and Riichirou Inagaki (who also wrote Eyeshield 21). The manga, from March 2017 to March 2022 in Weekly Shonen Jump, consists of 26 volumes. It’s available both digitally and in print from Viz Media, and you can also find it online through MANGA Plus.
